We're looking for a Database Administrator that will be responsible for maintaining our Database Persistence, and help our teams to improve our applications from the DB point of view.

What responsibilities will you get when working with us?

  • Maintain our Databases, AWS, expertise required.
  • Review and apply DB/DATA migrations from different product teams.
  • Mentoring Dev teams to improve their SQL queries or their data structure.
  • Share the On-call rotation for DB.
  • DB maintenance tasks and projects.

What you’ll need to take on the challenge

  • 3 years prior experience as a MariaDB/MySQL DBA or consultant is required. 
  • 5 year experience in AWS environments and it’s scaling operations.
  • Experience with database design, management and architecture.
  • Experience in backup, data retention and data governance.
  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining HA with high traffic environments.
  • Ability to work in a good team and under pressure.

Additional skills include:

  • Desired experience in no-sql engines, such as:
  • DynamoDB
  • Cassandra (desired)
  • ElasticSearch (desired)
  • Experience with programming languages and scripting languages.
  • Sysadmin experience.
  • Query tuning.
  • Cost & DB security optimization.
  • Experience with DB installation and setup.
  • Experience with MySQL proxies such as ProxySQL + Consul.
  • Web application environments experience recommended.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
