Ihre Hauptaufgabe ist der Bau von Prototypen. In dieser Position berichten Sie direkt an den Werkstattleiter und arbeiten Hand in Hand mit unseren Entwicklungs- und Produktionsabteilungen an unterschiedlichen Projekten und Aufgaben. Sie unterstützen im täglichen Werkstattbetrieb bei der Be- und Verarbeitung verschiedenster Materialien von Holz, über Fasermaterialien bis zu Metall, sowie bei der Betreuung und dem Aufbau von Testständen. Sie geben Rückmeldung und helfen dadurch dem Team Verbesserungen zu erzielen.

 

Ihr Tagesablauf:

  • Zusammenbau unterschiedlichster Komponenten
  • Vorbereitung von Testaufbauten zur sicheren Durchführung und Bedienung dieser
  • Administrative Arbeit für den Arbeitsschutz und die Arbeitssicherheit
  • Justierung und Kalibrierung unterschiedlichster Ausrüstung und Maschinen
  • Be- und Verarbeitung verschiedenster Materialien (Holz, Kunststoff, Metall) durch Schleifen, Bohren oder Kleben
  • Zuarbeit bei der Herstellung von mechanischen Komponenten
  • Betreuung unseres internen Versuchsträgers von der Montage bis zur Flugvorbereitung
  • Erkennen und Rückmelden von Fehlern an die entsprechenden Teams, Zusammenarbeit zur Ursachenanalyse
  • Kurzfristige Integration spontaner Projekte und Aufgaben in den Arbeitsablauf

 

Ihr Profil:

  • Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung als Fluggerätmechaniker, alternativ andere Ausbildung im mechanischen Bereich mit mehrjähriger Berufserfahrung in Flugzeugbau, Schiffbau, Composite-Fertigung oder Prototypenbau
  • Erfahrung beim Lesen/Verbessern und Umsetzen von Zeichnungen und Arbeitsvorschriften im Flugzeugbau
  • Erfahrung im Umgang mit Standards in einem Flugbetrieb – Materialverfolgbarkeit, Werkzeugstandards, Messstandards, Qualitätsstandards
  • Hohe Maß an Eigenverantwortung zum Gewährleisten der Flugzeugqualität; inklusive Eigenprüfung
  • Erfahrung in der Montage und Verdrahtung von mechanischen oder elektronischen Baugruppen
  • Erfahrung in der Prüfung der Funktionsfähigkeit von Geräten und Baugruppen
  • Sehr gute Erfahrung im Umgang und der Bearbeitung von verschiedenen Materialien
  • Hohes technisches Verständnis, handwerkliches Geschick und Flexibilität
  • Hohes Maß an Eigeninitiative, Zuverlässigkeit und Teamfähigkeit 
  • Zielorientierte, selbstständige / strukturierte / pragmatische und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
  • Schnelle Auffassungsgabe und Lernbereitschaft
  • Fließende Deutschkenntnisse und gute Englischkenntnisse sind Voraussetzung
  • Wir suchen Kreative, die lösungsorientiert arbeiten. Ein Hobby wie z.B. als Modellbauer mit  selbst umgesetzten Projekte willkommen.

The Role:

In this role you will be focus on prototype assembly and development testing for our Lilium aircrafts. With a direct report to our Head of Development/Workshop, you will work closely with our development and production teams.

You have the unique opportunity to support our workshop operation, from early development testing, 3D-Printing as well as supporting the design activities for our products.

Your Day to Day:

  • Perform assembly and production tests in accordance with our work instructions
  • Manufacture and assemble composite and metal-light-weight structures
  • Work on the assembly of propulsion systems with mechanical and electrical components
  • Perform work scope inspections for your own, as well as others (level 2 inspector 21G)
  • Build test rigs, prepare and execute various development tests
  • Work on specification and calibration of production tooling and equipment
  • Manufacturing of different materials and designs for our workshop
  • Ensure that all health, safety & environmental standards are met at all times
  • Work on our prototype products from assembly to getting the product ready for flight testing
  • Pro-actively work on various tasks from providing design/specification input, purchasing tools or materials, organising travel or other

 

Your Profile:

  • Completed training as an aircraft mechanic, alternatively in a related mechanical profession with several years of experience within aircraft manufacture, ship building, composite production or prototype production
  • A qualification related to either composite, propulsion or electrical motors assembly and testing is of advantage
  • Experience as Aircraft mechanic or electrician desired
  • Must be able to read, understand and ideally improve our design and assembly drawings, including tolerance related matters
  • Inspection degree and experience with 21G or 145 requirements for tooling, components and systems is necessary
  • Experience with assembly and wiring for mechanical and electric modules desired
  • High degree of technical understanding with a pro-active working approach, team player mindset and high level of independence and reliability is required
  • Experience in proactive non-conformance management
  • Fluent English required, German language is a plus
