We are looking for a Senior Trust and Safety Manager with a passion for customer-first systems, knack for problem solving, and ability to thrive in ambiguity to create world-class customer experiences. As a leader responsible for building trust and managing safety operations, you will lead, and coach a team of talented individuals to drive best practices to protect our riders. You will be an integral part of building new processes and mechanisms, precision in execution and efficiency through data-based decisions and analytical problem-solving.

What You'll Do

  • Be an owner. Build and maintain a highly efficient and motivated trust and safety operations organization across the world
  • Build a high performing team. Define hiring needs, execute on those needs, and train new team members
  • Manage risk assessment and performance. Build systems and tools to reduce fraud, increase trust, and implement policies with local operations
  • Drive results. Analyze feedback and report on trends to central operations to address important safety issues and prevent future problems
  • Share information. Communicate cross-functionally to ensure timely resolutions, quality control, and process feedback. Synthesize feedback and recommendations to central operations, business, product and engineering teams
  • Problem solve. Manage urgent projects, prioritize tasks, and overcome obstacles that come your way
  • Represent the Company. Respond to riders and outside stakeholders in stressful and high stake situations
  • Be a culture carrier. Create a fun, inclusive, and safe workplace

About You

  • 4-6 years in leadership experience
  • 3+ years in trust and safety, preferably at a startup and consumer facing
  • Experience solving complex problems, exercising good judgement in decision-making, and navigating ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communicator capable of motivating a team, working cross-functionally within a large organization, and liaising with external stakeholders as needed
  • Ability to simplify difficult problems into actionable and solvable tasks
  • Data-driven by nature, strong attention to detail, and obsessed with process improvement
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and using new tools
  • Self-motivated, high-energy and driven individual with the ability to learn new skills and grow with the role
