Senior Manager, Supply Chain Accounting

We’re looking for someone who wants to build and improve scalable and controlled processes and automation for our global supply chain and vehicle accounting function. This role will report to the Controller and will set policies and procedures to account for the largest scooter fleet in the world. You will be responsible for reviewing accounting policies around our supply chain purchases for proper capitalization, asset management system records and transactions, reconciliations for assigned accounts and assisting in audits and month-end close.

What You'll Do

  • Be a leader within the accounting organization, working cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, supply chain, operations, finance, and tax
  • Own accounting for all direct costs, including company owned and leased equipment
  • Understand complex, international supply chain processes
  • Establish and communicate company policies around procurement, disposal, and reporting
  • Analyze monthly results, trends, and variances related to vehicle assets and investigate as needed
  • Work with the tax team to support efforts related to VAT, property, and other taxes
  • Work with the technical accounting team to support research, implementation, and documentation of relevant US and international accounting standards
  • Act as primary contact within accounting for business applications and other system and process initiatives related to supply chain management and cost accounting
  • Prepare or review accounting entries, reconciliations, and other analysis
  • Supervise the work of other accountants as required
  • Execute special projects and complete other ad hoc assignments as required

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldCPA/CA or equivalent a plus
  • Minimum 10+ years professional accounting or combined relevant experience
  • Minimum 3+ years in an accounting or finance management role
  • Supply chain and cost accounting experience - preferably in transportation, manufacturing, or retail 
  • Knowledge of relevant US GAAP is essential; familiarity with IFRS is a plus
  • Experience in a high growth international environment
  • Experience with supply chain management systems required; NetSuite experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel, and other financial systems and software required
  • Ability to think outside the box, overcome roadblocks and ambiguity, and perform under pressure 
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts, lease agreements, and legal documents
  • Ability and flexibility to interact and collaborate effectively with all departments and levels throughout our organization, across multiple time zones
  • Ability to work independently and effectively organize, prioritize, and manage projects and resources
