Looker is seeking a full-stack Software Engineer to support our rapidly growing business.  You’ll have a pivotal role in designing and implementing critical cloud business systems and you’ll be doing it in a fast-paced environment where everything counts - security, reliability, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate enjoys the process of working with business teams, customers, and other engineers to solicit use cases,  and map those to great solutions in code. We seek engineers with a growth mindset that are prepared to scale their own responsibilities along with the company.

  • Facilitate collaboration with other engineers, product owners, business teams and designers to solve interesting and challenging business and technical problems
  • Be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
  • Collaborate, design, develop, deploy and operate services that serve thousands of companies


  • At least two years of professional software development 
  • Experience with at least one of Ruby, Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Scala, Python and interest in expanding your knowledge to languages you may not already know
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Node a plus
  • Passion for quality and knowledge of what it means to ship high quality code
  • Knowledge of  how to write distributed, high-volume services is a plus
  • Experience with deploying and operating services on Linux
  • An understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Full-stack development mindset with interest in expanding your knowledge
  • Experience and desire for working cross-functionally across an organization
