WHAT WE'VE GOT GOING ON
Looker is seeking a Services Sales Engagement Manager (SSEM) to join our Professional Services team. The SSEM is essential to the success of our customers and the growth of our Services business. In this role, you will collaborate with the Sales and Customer Success teams to drive the highest value in each and every Looker engagement. You will be the end-to-end owner of the Professional Services portfolio in your accounts.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a unique combination of technical depth, project delivery expertise, and business acumen, along with a passion for helping customers achieve business outcomes with data.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
Collaborate with Looker Sales and Customer Success teams to position the value of Professional Services, evaluate customer requirements and scope the right level of Services
Produce high-quality proposals and Statements of Work, present to customers and handle objections
Assemble the right team of Looker and partner consultants to staff each engagement and set it up for success
Remain closely engaged with the delivery team, acting as an escalation point for any delivery-related issues
Represent Professional Services in account planning and account strategy discussions
Own and maintain a Services bookings forecast for the accounts which you are managing
Develop and contribute to Looker services packages, methodology and best practices
Coach and mentor other Engagement Managers to be successful in the role
WHAT YOU BRING TO LOOKER
Technical architecture and solution experience, preferably in the BI or analytics domain
Customer-facing experience as a project manager or delivery manager, in an enterprise SaaS implementation context
Business acumen: the ability to work independently to seek out and develop business opportunities, communicate effectively, seek compromise and maximize value
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel up to 40-50% of the time
