Product Communications Specialist

Lyft is looking for an amazing addition to our product communications team. The ideal candidate is someone who will geek out over our driver and passenger-facing products, and serve as a media liaison on our day-to-day product news and campaigns. Are you a blossoming PR pro who loves apps? Do you love learning about new technologies? Do you read CNET, Engadget and TechCrunch for a good time? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this might be the gig for you.


  • Develop strong relationships with key members of our internal product team, become an expert on Lyft’s passenger and driving-facing product
  • Manage day-to-day product roll out announcements from start to finish
  • Help educate the larger comms team about product features to help support narratives
  • Serve as the main contact with key tech and gadget press
  • Draft and release statements and other communications in response to corporate initiatives  
  • Provide support to existing product communications team, partnering on large scale launches and “all hands on deck” communications activities
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple Lyft teams to support and protect our reputation


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of relevant communications experience, agency experience a plus
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communications skills
  • Strong analytical and organization skills, ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail
  • Lyft user/believer and a great sense of humor
