Lyft is looking for a rock star FP&A Manager to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supporting technology teams (e.g. Engineering, Product, etc.). This is a unique gateway opportunity to play a crucial role in building a financial foundation for one of the fastest growing pre-IPO companies. As a finance leader, you will partner across multiple teams to effectively manage and guide their financial spending and analysis of projected expenses and growth. To be successful the role requires a mix of a strong analytical mindset, business process excellence and reporting skills with the goal to guide and provide appropriate business insight and financial execution. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability and confidence to work across teams, understand and communicate complex concepts, bring business insights, drive change, and influence results.   • Drive all financial processes, budgeting, forecasting, and business reviews on behalf of key technology teams
  • Partner with department heads and their leadership teams with respect to financial management, resource prioritization and allocation
  • Ability to ‘tell the story’ and drive insightful analytics and financial reviews through weekly and monthly dashboards/reports used by decision makers including c-level executives
  • Build models to understand ROI of various technology investments; develop, track, and report on KPIs to deliver insights on business performance and optimization
  • Lead month end close reconciliation and accrual development for the departments and other areas as assigned
  • Proactively communicate and prepare departments to have a clear understanding of financials, risks, opportunities
  • Strive to incrementally improve reporting and automate processes to scale with company growth


  • 6+ years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience at a high growth company, preferably in high tech
  • Demonstrated experience in developing complex financial models; excellent quantitative analysis and forecasting skills (excellent Excel skills required, Database/SQL skills preferred)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, can easily present complex financial issues to non-finance executives (solid PowerPoint skills preferred)
  • Knowledge of financial systems (Financial Planning: Adaptive, ERP: Netsuite or similar)Exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, ability to drive operational excellence within a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, advanced degree/certification such as MBA/CPA a strong plus
