About Lytro Immerge:
Lytro Immerge is the world’s first professional Light Field solution for Virtual Reality. From our novel multi-camera rig/array capture system to our rendering, post production tools, and playback environment, Lytro Immerge provides content creators the ability to achieve lifelike presence through capturing the world in six degrees of freedom (6DoF). The system captures live action video for virtual reality with true stereo, parallax and realistic lighting offering  viewers more freedom of movement, superior  image quality, and ultimately a much more immersive experience.

About The Opportunity:
As the number of DCC (Digital Content Creation) supported by LVT grows, the candidate must be able and willing to learn new development environments. Will have to work closely with the product team for client facing requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop the DCC side of LVT.
  • Day to day: Write, maintain and update LVT plugins for major DCC tools (Max, Maya, Nuke, Katana,…).
  • Key deliverables: Short term: Take over virtual camera rig generation scripts. Port to other DCCs.
  • Long term: Create the DCC plugins to integrate fully LVT within the DCC application. 
  • Technology: Windows and Linux. Python scripting. Standard SCM tools (git)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • C++ and/or Python programing
  • Linux and windows proficiency
  • At least one DCC plugin development experience (Maya or Max preferred).

Bonus Points:

  • Additional DCC knowledge
  • Rendering tool knowledge a plus

With these products, Lytro pioneered the generational shift from legacy 2D imaging to 3D volumetric video.
