Job Description

The Senior Cloud API Engineer will be designing and developing highly scalable AR Cloud services. You will create secure, multi-tenant services, supporting infrastructure and work closely with other AR Cloud, computer vision and machine learning engineers to develop these services in a collaborative, agile environment. As part of your responsibilities, you will work with the Magic Leap One device on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with computer vision and machine learning teams to architect a highly scalable system that enables multi-user AR experiences
  • Design and implement secure cloud services supporting the Magic Leap One device
  • Write unit, integration and load tests
  • Work closely with our DevOps engineers to continually deploy and verify new releases

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years’ experience designing high-performance, secure, multi-tenant cloud services
  • Experience with a variety of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis
  • Experience deploying and scaling high-traffic services using Amazon and/or Google cloud
  • Proficiency in 1 or more of the following programming languages: Elixir/Erlang, C/C++, Python or NodeJS
  • Experience with authentication and authorization in the cloud, including access token and secrets management
  • Familiarity with Linux, shell-scripting, git and network protocols
  • Familiarity with computer vision and/or machine learning algorithms is a plus
  • Familiarity with MMO backend or game server development is a plus

Education

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
