MLT's Advisory Services team works with senior executives at partner organizations to help them:

- Understand the root cause drivers behind their diversity challenges, including understanding minority employee experience at their organization

- Create an organization-wide diversity strategy that directly attacks the root causes and will lead to the organization being in a meaningfully better place

- Implement winning strategies and tactics that give the organization the best chance at success

The Advisory Services Consultant is responsible for managing aspects of client delivery and will directly consult in a client-facing role with our industry-leading clients by helping devise their executive strategy, gain insights into their diversity challenges, and help advise them on how to solve for a sustainable and effective diversity strategy. Consultants work to ensure the success of each client engagement -- including project management and client communications, analysis and synthesis of data, preparation of client-ready materials, codification of learnings and insights, presentation of recommendations, and (at times) partnering with the client on implementing improvements.

We are seeking skilled consultants who are committed to working in the social sector, but still advising top corporate clients. While previous experience with diversity or talent recruitment/development is not required, experience working within a complex corporate or professional services environment is a must. This role will be based in MLT’s Washington DC area office (Bethesda, MD) although remote employee applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Key Responsibilities

Research and analyze client data (both qualitative and quantitative)
Ensure recommendations and insights are tailored to meet each client’s unique needs
Prepare high-quality client presentations and data visualizations to communicate strategic findings and recommendations
Ensure MLT is meeting client expectations and deliverables on-time and within the established scope
Establish team processes, templates, and engagement best practices alongside the rest of the team
Further build a repository of insights and recommendations that can be customized for future engagements

Qualifications

Strategy / management consulting experience or partner / program management experience required (must have experience interviewing, analyzing data, and developing client-ready presentations in a fast-paced work setting)
Strong storytelling skills utilizing powerpoint and/or google suite
Strong client orientation and relationship management skills
Analytical and problem solving skills with learning agility
Strong process orientation; must work to instill sustainable processes and systems
Strong results-orientation and sense of urgency
Commitment to the social sector and MLT’s mission and values
