You have the exciting opportunity to support MLT’s Advisory Services in delivering impactful diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) consulting solutions for our partners. As a strategic growth area for MLT since 2018, Advisory Services builds upon MLT’s nearly 20-years of insights and deep understanding of underrepresented employee perspectives to help our partners develop DEI business strategies and plans, redesign processes, and support senior executives in driving equitable and inclusive change across their organizations. This includes helping organizations:
Understand the root cause drivers behind their DEI challenges
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of key drivers of the current state
Develop a sustainable, ambitious strategy grounded in a deep understanding of underrepresented employee experiences
Implement winning practices that will move the needle on their DEI outcomes 

The Advisory Services Engagement Leader is a client-facing role responsible for leading the delivery of our solutions. Engagement Leaders are responsible for building and deepening relationships with clients, managing and contributing to the development of deliverables, and leading a team of Consultants and Analysts to ensure the success of each client engagement -- including project management and client communications, analysis and synthesis of data, preparation of client-ready materials, codification of learnings and insights, presentation of recommendations, and (at times) partnering with the client on implementing improvements. We are seeking experienced consulting professionals who have a commitment to working in the social sector, as well as the capabilities needed to support top corporate clients in transforming their approach to DEI.  

Applicants for this role should be able to work during core EST business hours but need not be located near MLT’s Washington D.C. Metro Area (Bethesda, MD) office. We will accept local and remote applicants for this position.

Key Qualifications & Functions:

  • Minimum of seven years of strategy and/or management consulting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Excellent communication skills and writing capabilities with proven ability to translate complex ideas into powerful messaging
  • Collaborative self-starter with strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail;  Meticulous project management and execution.
  • Candidates must thrive in entrepreneurial environments.  Must possess an innovative spirit and drive creative solutions.
  • A practitioner with experience and deep understanding of strategy development, DEI, or strategic talent development and acquisition / human capital
  • A practitioner with deep experience with planning, scoping and delivering projects. Must have a keen focus on monitoring timing, resources and risks.
  • Candidates must possess the willingness and the skill to guide teams in identifying and structuring core issues for analysis.   Engagement Leader leverages DEI data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision making. 
  • Awareness and flexibility to lead teams through challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the social sector and MLT’s mission and values.
