The R&D team is responsible for evaluating improvements to our current lineup of 3D print systems, and developing and evaluating early-stage 3D printing technologies. As a member of the team you will play a role in developing next-gen 3D print systems that will have an impact on the industry for years to come

In this role you will:

  • Design, build, and test new 3D printing systems and improvements
  • Design and run experiments, analyze results to develop improvements
  • Optimize current print systems and collaborate with other engineering teams to implement improvements
  • Document and present research progress and recommendations for further development
  • Work with the Product team to prioritize and execute on company research priorities

What we look for:

  • 3+ years post graduate experience
  • Demonstrated ability to produce innovative solutions to challenging open ended technical problems
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and ability to take ownership
  • Proficiency and drive for organization and documentation
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • A strong portfolio of past work and personal projects.
  • Understanding and experience with thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
  • Basic fabrication skills and machine shop experience
  • CAD and mechanical design experience, Solidworks preferred
  • Familiar with programming or scientific computing, Python and Labview preferred
  • B.S., M.S., or PhD in engineering related field
