The Marketplace is at the heart of the Mendix developer community. This is where our Makers can find, use and share components. Our team is responsible for the development and operation of the Marketplace and managing the large number of components on-boarded from our user community and growing ecosystem.
As the custodian of our community's first impression when entering the marketplace, the Marketplace Marketing Manager will be critical to its ongoing success. We're looking for someone who has demonstrable experience in growing engagement and contributions for a crowdsourced content platform. You'll own the promotional calendar, you'll work with marketplace contributors and the engineering team to curate and select the items that will create traction with our target users. Additionally, you'll use your knowledge of SEO and web analytics to execute and achieve a sustainable growth model for the coming six, twelve and 24 months. This is making for makers; it's a pretty big deal!
Lead marketing initiatives in alignment with Mendix priorities and product goals that promote the Marketplace message.
Develop data-driven marketing strategies and campaigns that successfully increase engagement, usage and revenue.
Lead and execute strategic marketing programs that focus on curation and positioning of listings in the Marketplace.
Collaborate with product management to align on the GTM(go-to-market) tactics that highlight the Marketplace for both suppliers and consumers.
Analyze and report on the effectiveness of programs and campaigns to ensure goals are met.
Partner with various teams to develop content to support marketing campaigns that align with the user’s journey.
Collaborate and liaise with the sales team ensuring alignment on initiatives and enablement. Drive the development of sales enablement content; collateral, presentations, etc...
Coordinate with sales leadership to align on regional priorities and goals.
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
Strong Digital Marketing / Growth Marketing / Performance Marketing Skills (including SEO, display, web analytics, and paid search)
Experience enhancing digital spaces where users gather and share information (Community or ECommerce roles, for example)
Willingness to present data-supported storefront ideas to a cross-functional Marketplace Unit team of Marketers, Product Managers, UX Researchers, Data Science Professionals, and App Services
Experience defining content strategy, curation, and calendar creation to drive engagement on both the supplier side and consumer side
Successful history in developing and executing demand generation and pipeline-building programs.
Ability to define strategies based on goals & data and translate into actionable tactics.
Results-oriented: passion and drive to dramatically grow business results.
Analytical: solid analytical,“test & learn” mindset and continually assesses KPIs to monitor business performance.
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven. Extremely organized and able to multitask. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple programs.
Excellent Communication. Strong written, verbal and visual communicator.
Excellent people skills especially working with multiple stakeholders.
