You will be reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, and you can have a big impact in the company as an early member of the Field Sales team.

This position is based in San Francisco.

What You'll Do

  • You'll become an expert at selling Apollo GraphQL to enterprise customers, as well as become the authority on Apollo products, solutions, and markets
  • Learn and improve our lead-to-close process for building your pipeline, increasing deal volume, and maximizing revenue
  • Collaborate with our marketing, product, success, and support teams to grow our portfolio of customers
  • Sell a cutting edge SaaS product to the most innovative technical companies in the world
  • Map and build territories from the ground up as part of a greenfield sales team
  • Be a part of a tight knit sales team that values best practices sharing, mentoring and learning
  • Collaborate with our marketing, product, success, and support teams to grow our portfolio of customers

About You

  • You have 10+ years of sales experience in closing SaaS deals and managing enterprise customers
  • You have 3+ years selling open source or freemium technical SaaS products, developer tools is a plus
  • You have a deep understanding of selling disruptive technology to visionary leaders in engineering and IT
  • You have a track record of achieving sales goals with early-stage technology
  • You listen well to customers and are persistent while working with complex enterprise buyers
  • You're always learning state-of-the-art best practices and tools related to SaaS sales techniques
  • You have great collaboration and communication skills to accomplish goals
  • You're excited to support cross-functional teams on demand generation programs including events, partnerships, content creation, and recruiting
  • You thrive in fast-paced startup environments and highly competitive markets
  • You routinely meet or exceed 100% of sales forecasts
  • You are a trusted advisor to your customers and go the extra mile to meet their needs
