MLB.com is looking for Associate Site Managers for the upcoming MLB season. This is a part-time, hourly position based in the NY office or on the West Coast.
- Writing straightforward, concise descriptions of highlights
- Managing video modules on club sites and our mobile platform
- Copy editing of video descriptions
- Identifying key moments in games beyond the traditional baseball highlight
- Excellent knowledge of baseball
- Working knowledge of AP style
- Strong computer skills a must
- Work well under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Follow directions well
- Previous copy editing experience a plus
- Previous media experience a plus
- Must be available for seasonal employment. Late nights and weekends will be required because we work around the live baseball schedule.
We are looking for a "team player" with a great attitude, including but not limited to learning from mistakes, receiving constructive criticism and the ability to work closely and cooperatively (and take direction from) our gamenight staff.
