The Audiovisual Designer is in charge of the management and installation of audiovisual systems for multimedia projects, such as video, lighting and sound. He/she has a very good knowledge of audiovisual and computer equipment, which allows him/her to propose and advise technological solutions during technical design. He/she is required to travel to the project site to make any new multimedia installation operational or to troubleshoot problems. The Audiovisual Designer supports the technical management team during the different phases of the projects (tests, mock-ups, calibration, editing, etc.)

The new DOT department encompasses 5 technical departments to offer you customized solutions from concept to operation. The Competence Center helps to ensure the quality and stability of projects. We accompany the units during the whole life cycle of their customer's investment: from the initiation phase to the operation phase.


1. Technical integration:

Carry out the design and technical documentation of audiovisual systems;
Prototype the different technological intentions;
Assemble and prepare project equipment;
Install, configure and calibrate equipment and software on the project site;
Manage technical equipment and digital files.

2. Operations Support:

Develop the audio visual component of project operations documentation;
Provide remote and/or onsite technical troubleshooting for project operation problems.

3. Be a resource for the team in his/her field of experience:

Assist, train, coach, and/or build a product related to his/her acquired knowledge and skills;
Adapt his/her professional background to the various projects at Moment Factory.

4. Research and Development (R&D) :

Participate in project discussion and solution development workshops;
Be constantly on the lookout for new developments (multimedia, software and technical integration solutions).


Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or technical diploma in audiovisual production or equivalent;
Training in interactive media and performing arts (asset);
Minimum 3 years experience in the audiovisual/technical field;
Professional bilingualism (French/English) both written and spoken;
Must be able to travel abroad;
Knowledge of video programming (Disguise, Coolux, Watchout, etc.);
Strong manual, assembly and installation skills;
Ability to design audiovisual, electrical & network technical diagrams in collaboration with the network architect;
Knowledge of cabling and welding;
Ability to install operating systems, maintain and diagnose computer systems (Mac and Linux, an asset)
Knowledge of computer communication protocols and AVoIP (TCP/IP, SDVoE, NDI, MQTT, OSC, Artnet/DMX/sACN, RS232, LTC, MTC)
Knowledge of equipment (arrays, projectors, audio, lighting, etc.); audiovisual communication protocols (Dante, Artnet, NDI, DMX, MIDI, etc.) and networking (routing, sharing, network administration, IP, DNS, etc.)
Knowledge of lighting programming (asset);
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, Fusion 360 (asset)
Knowledge of microcomputers (Raspberry Pi) and micr

Work well under pressure and tight deadlines;
Great interest in teamwork.

Work schedule varies according to projects and/or demand
Frequent work abroad (short duration)
