Senior Software Engineer - Manufacturing & Shipping (UK - Remote)

MOO, Remote

We help businesses of all sizes look their best

We are the Manufacturing and Shipping team at MOO (also known as MASH). Our team is responsible for building the core systems that enable the warehouse to manufacture physical products, and ensure our customers get their parcels on time. This area provides a fascinating domain at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds. Without manufacturing and shipping, there would be no MOO.

We are a team in which everyone’s perspective is valued, and nobody is afraid of new ideas, tackling challenges together, and learning from mistakes. We really care about continually improving, and we love the open exchange of knowledge amongst our members.

We use Zoom for all of our calls and meetings. It creates a regular office day feeling, giving us the chance to see each other's faces - sometimes it involves a smiling toddler walking into the room or a random cat walking on the keyboard - we are all one team.

As a Senior Software Engineer in MASH, You Will:

  • Work with a bunch of internal and external industry API’s
  • Have significant input into the teams testing, deployment and maintenance plan

MOO’s the kind of workplace where you can really be yourself. Dye your hair purple. Hit the sofa with your laptop. Whatever helps you feel comfortable and happy at work. We want to help you grow in your career and set you up for success – while also recognising the importance of a healthy work/life balance.

That’s why we offer 25 days holiday rising by one day for each year here (for 5 years), a matched pension scheme, MOO’s share option scheme, and paid parental leave. We’ll offer you private healthcare, life insurance, a season ticket loan, subsidised gym membership and a cycle to work scheme. While most of us are currently working from home due to COVID-19 we can't wait to get back into the office where we like to treat our employees to breakfast and fresh fruit every day, lunch on Fridays and all the ice cream you can eat (just watch for the brain freeze).

About MOO

We bring great design together with technology We’re an online print and design company that is passionate about great design and the difference it can make to our customers and the world. MOO launched back in 2006 with the aim to disrupt the trillion-dollar global print industry and make great design available to all by combining professional design with the accessibility and reach of the web. We want to set a new standard for print, with remarkable new products that bring great design and uncompromising, high standards to the web. While many other printers have chosen to use new technologies to simply reduce the costs of printing (and often the quality), we strive to make print not only cost-effective but better than ever before. We believe in the power of great design Design is key to everything MOO does. Design helps us stand out: from the clothes we wear, to the homes we live in, to the business cards we use. Design tells a story about us and what we stand for. But professional-quality design has traditionally been expensive or out of reach for most people; we want to change this. We're passionate about helping people of all abilities design the best looking and highest quality print products: products that will help them or their business look great. Our company vision is simple but ambitious: "great design for everyone". More about MOO... MOO is an award-winning online print and design company. MOO prints millions of cards a month and has hundreds of thousands of customers in more than 190 countries. MOO has also become a much-loved brand, with a 75% NetPromoter rating. The company has won 3 Webby awards, has been profiled in the Financial Times, and was ranked in the top 10 UK start-up companies by the Guardian Newspaper. MOO has since grown to have 6 locations across the UK and US.
