Staff Engineer- Productivity Engineering

Narvar is growing! We are hiring strong and motivated Senior Test Automation/ Productivity Engineers with proven experience in Productivity Engineering for enhancing productivity across the organization.

We are looking for people who have strong hands-on experience in building tools and automating infrastructure around AWS and/or GCP, CI/CD pipelines. The mission of the team where you will be working is to reduce the engineering friction between creating an experiment and delivering an observable, reliable, and secure experiment (business value) at scale in production.


  • Own end-to-end Developer Experience. Develop tools for various teams at Narvar, to enable them to deliver faster
  • Develop test infrastructure and test automation tools. Participate in infrastructure automation for AWS/GCP
  • Enhance/improvise the CI/CD pipelines for faster release cycles. Introduce processes and tools to help teams identify and resolve issues at various stages of SDLC
  • Work on cutting-edge tools like Backstage, GreatExpections.io, automated code generators, etc.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with various teams (engineering, product, customer support) for bringing in reliability in everything we do using tooling and suitable technology
  • Build metrics and dashboards for use across teams to enhance observability, monitoring, and analysis
  • Manage multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity and scope. Use technical judgment to build consensus, projects, schedule, plans, execution, and communicate status to the stakeholders

What we’re looking for?

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of strong engineering and automation experience. Have hands-on experience in infrastructure automation, understand public cloud infrastructures, and ways to automate them seamlessly. 
  • Have rigor to explore and develop new tools if required. Build tools for engineering as a whole (Development, Data, Security, Reliability, Scalability, Availability, Fault tolerance, monitoring and maintenance, customer on-boarding, and customer support).
  • Experience Working on database management (both relational and no-SQL) is an added advantage.
  • Experience Working on web technologies like HTML5, Javascript, CSS3, HTTP, XML,JSON is an added advantage. Experience working in an informal and fast-paced Agile or SCRUM development methodology.
