We solution new streaming video ad products and ensure they execute flawlessly when delivered to users. We guarantee optimal end-user video experiences across all of NBCU’s desktop, mobile, over-the-top and set-top-box products. We constantly innovate and discover new ways to optimize our overall stack by architecting/implementing new tools, systems and/or processes to help manage and grow NBCU’s digital business. We ideate, invent and implement patented solutions to solve technical, business, sales and user pain points. Responsibilities:
The Ad Integration and Architecture team is looking for fantastic Engineering Manager/Architect to manage and lead an engineering team of 3 to 4 systems integrators whose primary purpose is ensuring streaming video advertisements are delivered to and execute flawlessly on Peacock. In addition to managing the Peacock integration team, you will also serve as an architect; collaborating with other architects to solution new ad product, setting cross-team standards and delivering cross-platform functionality. You will also contribute to AIA’s overall technical vision and implement processes and procedures to ensure your engineering team is successful while developing talent and promoting a positive work culture.
In this role, you will:
  • Manage and lead the Peacock integration team consisting of 3 to 4 integration engineers
  • Architect, solution and POC new cross-device advertising features and products
  • Contribute to the ad product technology vision for all Peacock supported devices including Desktop/Mobile Web, Android/FireTV, iOS/tvOS, Roku/RAF, Chromecast, Gaming Consoles, Set-Top Boxes and SmartTVs
  • Work with ad product and Peacock tech teams to dictate technology implementation best practices and influence application and player design
  • Develop and mentor members of the AIA Peacock integration team


●BA in Computer Science or related field
●10+ years of diverse technical experience with 3+ years in an enterprise architect, software architect and/or software engineering manager role
●Proven track record of leading midsized technical teams in delivering mission critical technology
●Advanced knowledge of streaming media technologies including video players, ABR streaming techniques, Content Delivery Networks, video/image formats and ad serving technologies
●Deep understanding of system integration and design thinking
•Intermediate level knowledge of fundamental computer science topics like databases, networking, algorithms, data structures, etc.
•Willingness to develop and mentor direct reports with the goal of creating future technology leaders

●Previous experience developing applications on one or more of the following platforms: Desktop/Mobile Web, Android/FireTV, iOS/tvOS, Roku/RAF, Chromecast, Gaming Consoles, Set-Top Boxes and smartTVs
●Expert at troubleshooting both backend and client-side technical issues particularly around streaming video and advertising technology
●Previous exposure to IAB standards such as VAST, VMAP, VPAID and openRTB
●Some experience serving video ads using Freewheel MRM
●Excellent written, verbal, visual/presentation and interpersonal communications skills
