Salesforce Senior Business Analyst

Level: Manager (Supervisor)

This Senior Business Analyst position is a key member of the Studio Distribution Technical Operations organization and joins a team responsible for supporting the Salesforce application portfolio for the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) business. This role engages with all departments within UPHE and enables the delivery of technology solutions that support their business functions.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Home Entertainment business teams. Learn and understand their functional processes, data dependencies and workflows, and needs for technology solutions.
  • Manage the backlog of business requests and enhancements for the application portfolio. Partner with business stakeholders to define functional requirements and prioritize stories that will be delivered in application release.
  • Be an IT product owner for the UPHE Salesforce.com application portfolio. Collaborate with Salesforce developers and engineering teams to implement enhancements and support the applications.
  • Lead the SDLC process coordinating deliverables across technical teams, external consultants, and business stakeholders to deliver planned releases into the application ecosystem
  • Ensure adoption and utilization of IT solutions by being the technical subject matter expert and leading stakeholder training sessions
  • Collaborate with enterprise product and engineering teams to ensure alignment with enterprise-driven initiatives and to modernize business functions

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in an IT business analyst role with responsibilities covering the technical development and support for applications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Salesforce.com Platform or Salesforce Lightning framework
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of IT project management SDLC processes and methodologies, such as Agile Scrum and Waterfall along with associated best practices
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather input from multiple sources and articulate technical recommendations and a point-of-view for key decisions
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and leverage team members as necessary
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the comfort to communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Salesforce Platform or Admin certification
  • Experience with Jira and Smartsheet
  • Experience with UX and UI design
  • Experience with Media & Entertainment industry or packaged media
  • Experience with data architecture and ETL/ELT tools
  • Enjoys learning new technologies with a desire to be hands-on with implementing solutions
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teams across varying time zones
