Netflix announced the creation of the first global Internet TV network three years ago and now operates in 190 countries. But our journey has just begun. Our marketing team is tasked with making people so passionate about our content that they signup and watch.  As a part of this mission, we strive to engage with people all over the world through earned, owned, and paid media. 
• Earned media - creating organic news cycles through publicity events, talent, etc.
• Owned media - publishing content through social media channels for fans 
• Paid media - advertising through online (FB, YT), and offline channels (TV, OOH)

Our publicity team drives our efforts to increase and improve earned media.  They create news cycles through publicity events, awards for our content, and engaging with our creative talent to create newsworthy content.  

We are forming a new team to specifically help our Publicity organization with their technology and scaling needs - event planning (screening events, press junket, talent travel planning, etc.), awards/nominations management, calendaring, etc. As part of the Marketing Technologies team, you will be designing the future of the product suite that will support our publicity organization on a global scale. 

About Us:
Our team operates like a startup. You will work closely with product managers, engineering and our business stakeholders to conceptualize and design products, based on rapid feedback and iterative design. We are a relatively flat organization, and the individual responsibilities are big. We are not a process heavy organization, and value results over method. We value collaboration and encourage dissenting opinions.

About you:

  • You are an excellent communicator.

  • You have great visual design skills that can effectively tell a story.
  • You have a  growth mindset to continuously improve the design team's bar for quality and impact.

Required Experience:

  • You must have 5+ years working on a mix of consumer and/or enterprise business products.
  • You have worked directly with business stakeholders or end-users to discover business problems and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills that articulate your design thinking and decision making.
  • Ability to rapidly iterate and deliver UI or UX concepts based on feedback.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast paced environment.
  • Be willing to fail and learn.
  • Worked on multiple successful product launches that drove meaningful impact to the business.
  • Have worked directly with engineers to effectively communicate your designs from concept to launch. 

Nice to have:

  • You have worked on products in the digital advertising, talent management  or publicity space.
  • You have experience with front-end programming frameworks.
