The Manager of Production Finance for Series Production Budgeting will be instrumental in implementing the production finance goals of the Originals Series team. The goals include providing accurate and complete production budgets and partnering with the senior creative, business and production team leaders to ensure the investment has been well vetted and is supported by a clear creative vision and an executable production plan.
Prepare production budgets for our Original half hour and one hour episodic series for multiple geographic locations
Maintain a database of “template” budgets as the starting point for self produced series
Review production budgets prepared by Studios, producing partners and show accountants for our licensed original series
Keep abreast of current and changing industry trends, evolving technologies, production incentives and changes in crew capacity and infrastructure support in the main worldwide production centers
Work with our internal Financial Applications team to improve and streamline the budgeting process
Candidates must have 10+ years in scripted television production accounting
Candidates must have 5+ years working as a Lead Production Accountant on local and distant location major studio size productions
Broad understanding of production incentives
Solid understanding of payroll process, union labor agreements and tax requirements
Complete understanding of P2P process and tax requirements
Expert skill level of Movie Magic Budgeting
Ability to understand and articulate issues using creative, production or financial context
