The Content Financial Planning & Analysis team is looking for an Associate to join its Programming Analysis & Research team. This team develops tools and strategies to monitor and advise on Content Investment and Programming Strategy with a specific focus on industry intelligence. Senior leadership depends heavily on this team to accurately model and forecast the business as well as to lead the strategic analysis that is used to inform important business decisions.

The Associate position will be based in our Hollywood office.


  • Assist in developing analytical frameworks around content programming, especially as it pertains to combining our internal data with third party data.
  • Work with cross-functional finance teams to help consolidate content financials and shape financial policies and metrics.
  • Conducting market research, tracking and compiling industry trends and competitive analysis.
  • Work cross-functionally with our Data Engineering & Infrastructure and Science & Algorithms teams to assist in data ingestion, advanced analytics, and optimization of tools and processes.
  • Creating insightful presentations that summarize analysis and presenting them to groups of Netflix managers and executives to influence decision-making.


  • 2-5 years of experience in a top management consulting firm, investment bank, equity research, private equity, hedge fund, and/or media/entertainment/tech company in a strategy/planning & analysis/analytical role.  We are looking for candidates that have worked in a highly-demanding environment in which complex modeling and analysis is performed.
  • Ideal candidates should demonstrate knowledge of media and entertainment measurement and syndicated data sources, as well as an understanding of financial planning and accounting principles.
  • Candidates are required to be highly analytical and be strong, effective communicators. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of delivering actionable recommendations based on their analysis.
  • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis, including strong Excel skills.
