Technical Program Manager - Infrastructure Network Engineering

Our Infrastructure Network Engineering team designs, builds and operates networks to connect our internal users, creatives, production teams and partners around the world. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager that can own the successful execution of multiple build and deployment initiatives in parallel as we scale and expand our footprint around the globe. You will leverage your technical expertise and experiences, develop an understanding of Netflix and our customer and internal partner needs, and with your peers execute to deliver network connectivity and services to our users and offices around the world. 

Job Description

  • Partner with engineers, business and technical leaders, and real estate partners from internal and external teams to deliver networks to Netflix creative and business users
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to plan and manage our growth around the globe
  • Own and maintain our backlog of network build and deployment projects globally 
  • Establish key milestones and a project framework to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
  • Socialize project timelines and maintain accountability on deliverables
  • Understanding of networks, facility construction and build-out, and program management

Professional Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience managing and working with engineering teams collectively
  • Sharp assessment skills with an ability to evaluate wants vs. needs and ability to negotiate prioritization accordingly
  • Knowledge of facilities construction planning and program management
  • Understanding of networking technologies, roles, functions and basic capabilities

  • Self organize, drive cross-functional projects with our partners in Open Connect, Tech Ops, AV tech, studio and corporate real estate
  • See a problem or opportunity, take ownership and act on it independently
  • Collaborate and manage efforts with peers and teams across responsibility areas, languages, geography and time zones
  • Be a self-starter, curious and not afraid to ask when in doubt

Additional Requirements

  • Occasional travel
  • Experience working in media and studio environments is a plus
