Senior Security Engineer - Crisis Responder

You will respond to Information Security related incidents across the business with the Netflix Security Incident Response Team (SIRT). You will also operate independently as our first SIRT member in the Los Angeles office, working to mature our crisis management program and incident response capabilities related to securing original Netflix content from pitch to play. You have the opportunity to help Netflix revolutionize the way stories are told. We are building a studio on a modern technology stack, rooted in a culture of freedom and responsibility. To support our rapid growth in this space we need to take smart risks, and you will enable Netflix to lean into those smart risks by building a program to mitigate the impact of unwanted events.

You will contribute by:

  • Resolving security incidents through crisis management.
  • Maturing crisis management procedures in an effective and culturally compatible way.
  • Facilitating cross functional tabletops, game days and red team exercises. 
  • Applying lessons learned to improve our response. 
  • Identifying gaps in our complex creative ecosystem in order to improve our security posture. 

To be successful you should be familiar with:

  • Crisis management
  • Running game days, tabletops and simulated incidents.
  • Computer and network security concepts.

And interested in:

  • Studio activities and film/television production
  • Information Technology systems that support Studio/Production
  • Light development work (perhaps in Python)
