Senior Data Scientist - Studio Production

Netflix, Los Angeles, California

Leading subscription service for watching TV episodes and movies

Netflix is seeking a versatile data science practitioner who is ready to tackle data analysis and modeling challenges in a refreshingly new problem space - Studio Production Science and Analytics.

Netflix has released over 600 Originals and plans to spend over $7B on content this year. Each one of these TV shows or movies is a complex production operation in itself that consumes and generates tremendous amounts of data. For the first time in history, we have an opportunity to organize, analyze and model this data at scale in ways never done before. Read more about Studio Production S&A in this blog post.

Some examples of questions one can examine here with data include:
• Are we using our studio space efficiently?
• What stages of a given production pipeline are likely to fail?
• What interventions in production pipeline lead to best quality outcomes?

As a Senior Data Scientist - Studio Production, you will get to answer these kinds of questions from our Hollywood office at the Bronson Studios, where the first talking feature film was filmed in 1927.

  • Embody and steward the Netflix culture

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of practicing data science at scale
