Netflix is on the hunt for a smart, motivated and customer service focused leader to oversee the technology support team in our Los Gatos office. The Nerds team is responsible for the employee experience, providing world class support and resolving every technology issue that comes their way. The team must ensure Netflix employees stay highly productive in the most secure environment possible. Team members are experts in all employee technology platforms and services throughout the company and support over three thousand systems globally. With corporate offices located in Los Gatos, Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam, Singapore, Taiwan, Tokyo, and Sao Paulo, the team is constantly challenged and encouraged to constantly review and refresh the technology, with great opportunity to innovate in Netflix's unique “fast paced environment.”

As a Nerds manager, you will be responsible for mentoring, hiring and maintaining all operational aspects for the Los Gatos based team. You will utilize metrics to measure success, customer satisfaction, drive efficiencies and make great decisions. You will partner with cross functional teams, senior leadership and other regional Nerds managers to ensure a consistent and exceptional support experience in the Los Gatos campus. The Nerds manager is a hands on leader with a strong technical aptitude and possesses the ability to interact positively with customers by backfilling team members as needed.

Recommended Experience:

  • Experience managing a technology support team
  • Previous experience working in an end user tech support role-Experience in Cloud and hosted SaaS Applications and SSO, including Google Apps for the Enterprise (Gmail, Calendaring, Drive, Sites, Groups and Google +)
  • Strong fundamentals in networking protocols and troubleshooting-Familiarity in distributed computing environment concepts; local and network based user and group accounts and permissions
  • Knowledge of best practices around data security-In depth knowledge of and the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on Mac OS, Chrome OS, Windows 7 & 8, Linux, and various applications including Office
  • Experience in procurement and asset management
  • Experience with partnering with external vendors to maintain office and enterprise technology
