The Product Growth Research team’s mission is to uncover compelling ways to attract and engage customers around the world. The team achieves this by uncovering insights to build exceptional experiences for prospective members. The product space is rich and our research helps inform the company’s growth strategies and inspire product innovation that improve the end to end user journey.

As a Senior Product UX Researcher, you will have the opportunity to lead innovative research with demonstrable impact on a global scale. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, leading, analyzing, interpreting and socializing research studies that lead to innovations for current and future members. The cross-functional teams you’ll work with are nimble, dynamic and collaborative. We are looking for a seasoned Senior UX researcher to drive and own their research roadmap - identifying key questions and leading end-to-end research projects to guide our product growth strategies. These insights will help define our path to attract and engage our next 200 million members.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead strategic research to help define and inform innovative go-to-market growth strategies 
  • Evaluate motivations and unmet needs to attract and engage new members around the world
  • Identify ways to optimize customers’ end-to-end experiences with our product
  • Assess opportunities for Netflix to innovate, grow and differentiate around the world
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Design, Data Science, Marketing and Communications to identify, prioritize, plan and execute high-impact studies
  • Synthesize and communicate your findings and recommendations across the company, including the executive team
  • Experiment with innovative and compelling ways to shed new light on customer experiences to help inform strategic decision-making for our business 

About you:

  • 6+ years of demonstrable experience in product research or user experience (UX) research
  • Mixed methods researcher with experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Ability to define key research questions and objectives, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings
  • Passionate about translating findings into strategic business recommendations
  • Pragmatic and able to design research in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
  • Strong communicator with a track record of successful collaborations with colleagues 
  • Experience with global, cross-cultural and/or emerging markets research
