NorthBay is seeking technically savvy Solutions Architect to implement solutions for our customers. In this role, you will collaborate with NorthBay customers, understand customer requirements, and needs, translate these into specifications to develop the solutions from, drive work with your team, and deliver solutions and results to the customer. This includes assessing customer needs, re-engineering business processes, designing and developing proposed solutions, and sharing your expertise throughout the deployment process.

Responsibilities Include:

● Design and develop high volume, highly scalable mission critical applications.

● Ability to carve out solutions for a give problem domain or problem statement.

● Working as a technical leader alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams.

● Assess, document, and translate goals, objectives, problem statements, etc. to our onshore and offshore teams.

● Interface with Client project sponsors to gather, assess and interpret client needs and requirements

● Providing deep software development knowledge with respect to cloud architecture, design patterns, and programming.

● Support the full project lifecycle including: strategy, design, implementation and automation, as well as production-readiness and documentation activities.

● Participate in the definition of application architecture, technology stack; research new technologies, and prototype new ideas.

● Attend on-site customer meetings as needed

● Assess use cases for various teams within the client company.

● Document and communicate product feedback in order to improve user experience.

Qualifications:

● 7+ years of strong architecture and full stack development experience. Candidate is expected to be fully hands on.

● Expertise to design and develop solutions to serve high volume concurrent applications on the cloud AWS or others.

● Hands-on experience with containerization platforms and serverless computing, such as Docker, EKS, Lambda.

● Mandatory -> expert level skills in Node JS ecosystem with emphasis on TypeScript.

● Mandatory -> expert in video streaming technologies to develop applications of the likes of YouTube where target content may be viewed by millions of viewers concurrently.

● Expert level skills in frontend technologies like Angular, React, Vue etc.

● Polyglot developers with skills in multiple programming languages including .NET/Java/Python/Go etc.

● Proficiency in SQL

● Expert user of developer tools/workflows

● Experience troubleshooting operations issues.

● Experience with AWS ecosystem for application dev and deployments including CI/CD. More specifically hands on with ECS, EKS, RDS and related.

● Exposure to serverless will be a plus.

● Experience with MSA will be a plus

● Ability to design solutions, communicate solutions to the team and stakeholders and implement it working alongside the development team.

● Proven analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting expertise.

● A learning attitude. Ability to learn new technologies and assimilate technical information quickly.
