As of today, ofo is ramping up operations in over 250 cities across 21 countries. It generates 32 million transactions daily and has provided over 200 million global users with 6 billion efficient, convenient and green rides, which have reduced carbon emissions by over 3.24 million tons in total, the equivalent of saving more than 920 million liters of gasoline or reducing 1.55 million tons of PM2.5 emissions.

Users accumulated a riding distance of over 1.2 billion kilometers, reducing 84 million liters of fuel consumption and 265,000 tons of carbon dioxide from just April to June of 2017 alone.

ofo started collaborating with the United Nations Development Programme in April 2017 to achieve the Global Sustainability Goals. It also launched a partnership with Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation in August 2017 to improve the lives of girls in Malawi by funding scholarships and donating bikes to provide them with a safe way to get to school. In Oct 2017, ofo joined hands with C40 in tackling worldwide climate change issues and will contribute in every way possible to researches focused on healthy livable cities, identification of high impact actions, and benefits of inclusive climate actions.

ofo raised $700 million in its Series E funding led by Alibaba, Hony Capital and CITIC Private Equity in July, 2017.

The Role

You will be responsible in contributing towards building a positive employee experience and workplace culture within ofo, instilling HR policies and processes in people operations, and introducing new, innovative ways to revolutionise HR.

You will be part of a young, talented team passionate about hiring the best while delivering an exceptional candidate experience. By ensuring a seamless interview process, our business leaders and HR team can focus on selecting the best talent for ofo.

What you'll do

  • Build up the local team in a short time frame, working closely with the Country Head, acting as a business partner within the team.
  • Manage all in-country HR matters, act as subject matter expert in areas including talent acquisition and retention, payroll, expense policy, employee welfare, responsible for internal communications regarding all HR policies
  • Roll out, implement and execute, sometimes from scratch, HR initiatives within the country in regard to Employee Relations, Succession Planning, Performance Management and Workforce Planning
  • Be the point of contact for employees and Business managers in country
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers for HR policy, processes and compliance
  • The role reports into our HR Leader overseeing growth of all offices in Asia Pacific region.

What you'll need

  • At least 3 -5 years' experience in all spectrum of HR functions
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations in region
  • Work with a high level of autonomy focused on efficiency
  • Communicate well to all stakeholders consistently
  • Knowing what works in a high volume, fast turnaround environment focused on scaling quality teams, able to pivot quickly and adapt well to change with a positive, 'can-do' attitude
  • Bachelors' degree or relevant practical experience
