Optimus Ride headquarters are located in the Boston Seaport District. Our team hails from a diverse set of backgrounds, and cumulatively has decades of experience building self-driving vehicles, electric vehicles, manufacturing robots, surgical robots, autonomous drones, underwater robots, and more. Work closely with the Deployment Operations Manager to develop new operations locations including initial site evaluation, site bring-up, site staffing, initial account management, personnel training, process definition and documentation, and site hand-off
Temporarily manage site with Deployment Operations Manager during site bring-up period
Create a professional workplace with a strong customer-focused culture and model acceptable behavior
Train Site Ops Manager in day-to-day operations and site management
Assist in various operations efforts including, but not limited to, site administrative tasks and fleet management tasks
Oversee on-site personnel activities and schedule shifts weekly
Identify operations risks, define processes for operations improvements, and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in any field
5+ year experience in one of the following areas:
Previous management experience
Previous experience coordinating with multiple locations
Strong leadership, self-initiative, resource utilization, and time management skills, as well as team focused
Ability to multitask, plan and organize time
Comfortable working in a small team or startup, and sometimes ambiguous or fluid environments
Comfort with computers and running/operating software from a laptop in a moving vehicle
Comfort with driving and maintenancing vehicles
Ability to pass background check
Ability to test or operate vehicle for extended hours and drive through poor weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain)
Travel up to 75% at any point in time
Previous branch management experience (e.g. hotel/hospitality, rental car agency, etc.)
Previous sales management experience
Proficient in communicating with test engineers and managers
Associates/Bachelors degree in a technical field
