Optimus Ride is a self-driving vehicle startup working to enable safe, sustainable, and equitable mobility solutions. Our mission is to transform cities and pave the way for a more sustainable future through the introduction of self-driving technologies.

Optimus Ride headquarters are located in the Boston Seaport District. Our team hails from a diverse set of backgrounds, and cumulatively has decades of experience building self-driving vehicles, electric vehicles, manufacturing robots, surgical robots, autonomous drones, underwater robots, and more. We aim for a highly collaborative, hands-on, and open environment where peers learn from each other while building technologies for real-world environments.

  • To develop new operations locations including initial site evaluation, site bring-up, site staffing, initial account management, personnel training, process definition and documentation, and site hand-off
  • Partner with engineering, system integration & testing, product management teams to effectively communicate market needs
  • Temporarily manage site during bring-up or launch period
  • Create a professional workplace with a strong customer-focused culture and model acceptable behavior 
  • Train Site Operations Manager in day-to-day operations and site management
  • Assist in various operations efforts including, but not limited to, site administrative tasks and fleet management tasks
  • Oversee on-site personnel activities and schedule shifts weekly
  • Identify operations risks, define processes for operations improvements, and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders
  • Develop metrics for deployment operations analysis
  • Collaborate on market development opportunities with appropriate internal and external stakeholders
  • Research potential markets for deployment opportunities


  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 5+ year experience in one of the following areas:
  • -Operations
    -Account/client management
    -Fleet management
    -Program management
  • Previous management experience
  • Previous experience coordinating with multiple locations
  • Strong leadership, self-initiative, resource utilization, and time management skills, as well as team focused
  • Ability to multitask, plan and organize time effectively
  • Comfortable working in a small team or startup, and sometimes ambiguous or fluid environments
  • Comfort with computers and running/operating software from a laptop in a moving vehicle
  • Comfort with driving and maintenancing vehicles
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Ability to test or operate vehicle for extended hours and drive through poor weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain)
  • Travel up to 75% at any point in time


  • Previous branch management experience (e.g., hotel/hospitality, rental car agency, etc.)
  • Previous sales management experience
  • Proficient in communicating with test engineers and managers
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
