Forward Deployed Software Engineer - Student Worker

Palantir Technologies, Copenhagen, Denmark

Palantir builds software that connects data, technologies, humans and environments.

We're looking for talented student programmers.

At Palantir, we partner with the most important institutions in the world to transform how they use data and technology. Our software has been used to stop terrorist attacks, discover new medicines, gain an edge in global financial markets, and more.

In Denmark, we've partnered with Rigspolitiet (Danish Police; see an example of our work here) and several large Danish companies, among others. You can read more about our work in Denmark here (paywall).

We're offering exciting challenges and technical opportunities.

As a student programmer at Palantir, you'll be working closely with experienced Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to develop and implement solutions to our customers' most important problems. You'll be part of a team that both owns the problem-solving process from start to finish and delivers solutions that utilize Palantir products, open source software, and custom applications developed by the team. You will have a unique opportunity to learn from the people around you and become familiar with problems ranging from insider trading and money laundering to criminal investigations and detecting fraud in customs. You'll also have a chance to work with a broad range of technologies.

For example, we currently use:

  • A variety of languages, including Java, Typescript, Python, Ruby, and Bash
  • Open-source technologies like AtlasDB, PostgreSQL, React, and Redux
  • Industry-standard build tooling, including Gradle, Github, CircleCI, Jenkins

Palantir Offers:

  • An environment where you can collaborate closely with experienced engineers and learn an immense amount in a short period of time
  • High degree of autonomy and responsibility
  • The opportunity to own problem-solving while receiving guidance on your development from our engineering team

What We Prefer:

  • Completed your Bachelor's program
  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 15-20 hours/week at our Copenhagen office, or onsite with customers
  • Security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance
  • Fluent Danish speaker
If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, you may contact us at [email protected]
