The Role

As a Compliance Engineer, you will drive our technical decisions in execution within federal compliance regulations and operations across Palantir's cloud-hosted environments, working collaboratively with engineers to understand what they need to get their jobs done.

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers to interpret and map compliance requirements to product implementation.
  • Directly facilitate operational and regulatory outcomes, including FedRAMP continuous monitoring and compliance audits.
  • Build automation for procedural compliance controls.
  • Guide technical and operational decision-making towards future product offerings and efficient organizational processes.

Technologies We Use

  • Experience with distributed applications on cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Familiarity with cloud automation and configuration tooling (Terraform, Puppet, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of the infrastructure stack, from operating systems to network protocols

What We Value

  • 3+ years experience with compliance audits (SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and security concepts.
  • Ability to clearly communicate compliance requirements to internal engineering teams and associated implementation to external customers.
  • Proficiency with security concepts (encryption, authentication, etc.) and tooling for continuous monitoring (SecurityCenter, Splunk, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in executing against recurring operational regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Prior US Government regulatory audit experience (FEDRAMP, FISMA, etc) is a plus.
