At Palantir, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. We partner with the most important institutions in the world to transform how they use data and technology. Our software has been used to stop terrorist attacks, discover new medicines, gain an edge in global financial markets, and more.
Palantir is seeking a Web Developer with a focus on front-end and user experience development. This person will partner with our internal communications and marketing teams, as well as external resources, to design and implement a modern website that will share our company’s identity with the rest of the world. This platform for storytelling will include a range of mediums and, with the support of this Web Developer, will continuously evolve in its shape and content.
We’re looking for a motivated engineer to lead this transformation — someone who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to own the full software development life cycle. If this is you, you’ll be at the forefront of how Palantir establishes its external footprint and articulates its products and impact.
Partner with Communications, Brand, Product Design, and Technical Operations to design, implement, and support a new company website.
Migrate a static website from an existing framework to a new framework in a CI/CD like system.
Build the website with internationalization in mind, for adding new language versions.
Design and develop web-based projects and interactive displays with an emphasis on rich interaction.
Select, migrate, and use a CMS-approach that meets security-requirements, but is also approachable for non technical users.
Adapt to changing requirements and dynamic objectives, and apply your technical expertise to help prioritize or debate incoming requests.
What We Value
Experience leading large scale web projects, owning the full software development life cycle and establishing rigorous technical standards.
Deep understanding of web architecture, development, and standards. This includes a thorough understanding of the entire web stack: HTTP, cookies, caching and optimization, etc.
Use of CI/CD systems.
Familiarity with accessibility requirements, and experience building accessible user interfaces.
A passion for creating a beautiful user experience with pixel-perfect attention to detail. A strong comprehension of editorial disciplines and methodologies.
Strong understanding of responsive design, capabilities of different platforms and browsers, and their design constraints.
