Training Specialist

As a member of our Training team, you will develop and execute training programs to support the stability and growth of our Production environments.  You will increase the knowledge and understanding of GMP and Production processes.  Our current programs you will be impacting include: New Hire Orientation, Train the Trainer and Quality System (QSR) initiatives, etc.  You will also enhance and maintain current programs and materials and develop new programs as future needs are identified from cross-functional sources.
 
 

The job:

  • Provide introductory and ongoing training on SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality System requirements to cross-functional groups
  • Assist with development and delivery of training on diverse topics including office technology, leadership, and time management
  • Coordinate required training with cross-functional groups for changes to procedures in the manufacturing area
  • Coordinate safety training for incoming product builders
  • Resolve documentation issues, including origination and implementation of change requests
  • Train and test personnel for proficiency in manufacturing medical devices per Penumbra’s Quality System
  • Responsible for review and completion of personnel training records
  • Assist other areas regarding documentation and verification of training

What you bring:

  • A passion for developing people and skills
  • The desire to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • A Bachelor’s degree and one year production training experience, preferably in the medical device, biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Outstanding oral presentation skills
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
