We are looking for a passionate talented Android Engineer to join the Native Publishing team and help us build an application that inspires creators to make high quality, actionable, original content on Pinterest. You will specialize in building elegant product features on cutting-edge technologies in a rockstar team.

What you’ll do:

Build product features to make Pinterest the No.1 destination for creators to publish content
Build content creation tools to power the next generation of content on Pinterest
Prototype through fast iteration to exploring creative content formats to inspire over 330 million Pinners on Pinterest
Improve the experience of content publishing on Pinterest
Work closely with our product and design team to define the product features

What we're looking for:

3+ years of object-oriented application development experience
5+ years of industry Android application development experience on customer-facing products
Deep understanding of UI development on Android application in Java or Kotlin
Strong knowledge on multi-threading, memory management and caching on mobile application
Strong communication skills and great product sense
Experience of building video features by using ExoPlayer, MediaCodec is a bonus
Full stack experience is a bonus
Understanding of A/B testing is bonus
