We are searching for an exceptional Strategic Account Executive to focus on our Regional Merchants. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of their merchant’s core values along with their business and financial objectives and act as their trusted advisor for using Postmates to significantly grow their business. They will be a thought partner to their merchants and help create a holistic strategy with specific customer solutions to ensure success for Merchants based on their objectives all while working cross functionally with key stakeholders across all the organizations at Postmates. This person needs to communicate effectively across multiple departments, have the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice, and enjoys the challenges of providing excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.


  • Ownership of the full strategic sales cycle from initial partnership to close
  • Establish lasting relationships with senior executives and decision-makers
  • Act as a thought partner and trusted advisor to merchants on the value of Postmates throughout the full sales cycle
  • Track record of understanding customers core values, business and financial objections and creating holistic strategies that have ensured success for customers
  • Drive key business insights by analyzing large sets of data and financials and recommend scalable growth strategies for merchants
  • Navigate key decision makers to build awareness within organizations
  • Identify customer needs and collaborate with Postmate teammates to ensure customer success
  • Communicate and organize/escalate issues appropriately to the proper internal organizations with actionable recommendations
  • Serve as the voice of the merchant and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas


  • 3+ years of Strategic Account Executive experience
  • Relevant sales experience preferably in the Retail, CPG or Hospitality Vertical
  • Experience managing a pipeline and closing large contracts
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues
  • Proven negotiation and closing skills for complex deals
  • Ability to develop senior level relationships internally and externally both quickly and effectively
  • Experience presenting to senior executives and the C-suite
  • Takes an active interest in increasing customer satisfaction and deepening customer relationships
  • Bachelor's degree required
