Position Summary: The Sr. Experience Design Director helps to lead delivery by providing creative strategy and direction. At once, the Sr. Experience Design Director must have the ability to advocate for human-centered design while considering their client’s business needs and technology parameters. In doing so, they define an experiential vision, and lead a team to bring a solution to life. The Sr. Experience Design Director also supports the Vice President of UX with practice initiatives, UX team management, and business development. Day-to-day, they work closely with other practices (Experience Research and Strategy, Technology and Program Management) to create transformative solutions.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Provides creative leadership and guidance on client engagements throughout the project lifecycle and works with Program Managers (PM) to ensure client satisfaction while balancing quality, timeliness, and profitability
Supports business development activities by helping to scope engagements and to build and present compelling and persuasive pitches
Manages UX team members, which includes overall advocacy, writing and conducting performance reviews, identifying professional development strategies and activities, and mentoring
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years managing teams and leading digital client engagements on enterprise-level products and solutions
Minimum 10+ years UX experience (expert in applying user-centered design methodologies to create best-in-class solutions)
Possesses the ability to provide feedback related to all aspects of design (usability, interaction, content strategy, and visual design)
Possesses strong consultancy skills
Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Invision
Has practical understanding of current and emerging technology platforms and trends
Education: Bachelor and/or Masters’ Degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study (i.e. Human Factors, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related area.)
