The Challenge

The mission of the Developer Platform team is to build a secure, easy-to-use platform that creates value for businesses, developers, and teams in Qualtrics. 

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in the Developer Platform team, you will be responsible for the successful definition, planning, and execution of large-scale technology programs that help solve complex problems and enable products and business opportunities. Developer Platform TPMs work horizontally to create long-term value for Qualtrics by promoting the right technologies and processes to achieve the established goals. As a leadership team member, you will play a key role by collaborating closely with the Product, Customer Success, Ecosystem, and Engineering teams to build out the best-in-class developer experiences and successful partnerships. Our team is looking for candidates with a strong technical background, platform experience, and great interest in the developer ecosystem.

We’re growing rapidly, so you’ll also partner with engineering and product managers to develop and maintain scalable organizational processes, including effective communication across the organization.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 6+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience.
  • Able to communicate effectively and establish credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive staff.
  • Confident with standard software engineering methodologies, especially around software quality, compliance, and tooling (e.g., version control, release processes, testing methodologies).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects with multiple dependencies and constraints.
  • Experience managing and successfully delivering large software projects.
  • Experience defining programs, writing detailed functional specifications and delivering projects that meet rapidly evolving business needs.
  • Has relentlessly high standards (is never satisfied with the status quo).
  • Able to dive deep on technical and non-technical requirements and get hands-on when required. 
  • Have communication and interpersonal experience, including relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team.
  • Experience defining and understanding product requirements and translating these into actionable plans.

A Day in the Life

  • Articulate the technology, requirements, goals, and milestones of your projects and area.
  • Manage cross-functional programs in a matrix organization covering a range of groups and stakeholders.
  • Lead and prioritize strategic initiatives while working closely with teams across the organization, including partner teams in different locations, and external partners from different companies. Influence their roadmaps by representing Qualtrics and the Developer Platform. 
  • Tackle complex problems with a strategic mindset and create programs for solving those problems.
  • Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks, and foster cross-team collaboration.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end program plans to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
  • Influence on the product definitions and technical designs when required.
  • Define and own metrics for key performance indicators.
