Quantcast is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to work on an Onboarding Team in our London office.

As the real-time pulse of the Internet, Quantcast runs the world’s largest AI-driven insights and measurement platform directly quantifying over 100 million web destinations. Using machine learning to drive human learning, Quantcast provides brand marketers and publishers with meaningful audience insights, predictive targeting and measurement solutions across the customer journey through a disruptive new SaaS Platform for Advertising.

London is one of 3 engineering centers from where Quantcast builds, operates, and improves its entire tech stack. Quantcast follows a total ownership model with each team owning development, QA, and operations for their software. In London, we intend to dedicate a team to all new advertisers on-boarding activities, from the configuration of new accounts, to users and organizations management, their permissions, the advertiser website tagging set up and global navigation to name a few. We are looking for an experienced Engineer Manager with a real passion to lead a team of engineers focused on building solutions that fit our customers needs.

As Senior Engineering Manager, OnBoarding, you and your team would be responsible to deeply understand our customers use cases, the way they interact with the product, and build solutions for our self-serve advertising platform that will make all new customers' onboarding activities intuitive and independently executable from a user perspective. Yours, will be a team with engineers of different levels of seniority and complemented by the support of a Product Manager.

This means getting up-close and personal with our software systems, our product offering and building solid relationships with our Product Management and Design organizations while you serve as a mentor, manager, and joint architect for the systems and processes built by the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, don’t follow. In collaboration with a Product Manager, own and drive the product roadmap for users onboarding related activities
  • Technical Leadership. Deeply understand the portion of the stack your team owns and ensure the quality of the production code the team ships to meet the demands of the business
  • Interface and build strong relationships with other teams and leaders in the Product Engineering Org, Product Management, and Business Operations to ensure the team is focused on priority and relevant projects
  • Follow an agile development approach while ensuring you are delivering scalable, performant, and highly reliable solutions .
  • Mentor and coach members of your team, optimize processes and best practices to form and drive a high-performing team of software engineers .
  • Contribute to management best practices: helping us become an exceptional place to work for the talented, highly motivated people that we hire .
  • Hire and manage a growing team of engineers of all seniority levels.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years experience in engineering management, developing technically strong software engineering teams
  • Experience building customer facing products where quality and user experience are primary drivers
  • Experience with all phases of software development (design, development, test, operations, end-of-life)
  • Experience having driven teams following agile principles and methodologies.

Recognizing the importance of flexible work environments, Quantcast has adopted a hybrid work model. The model gives employees the opportunity to work from home two days a week and work in the office for team collaboration for the remainder of the time. The effectiveness of the implementation may differ based on location or team, so please consult with your manager for further information. Through at least the end of 2021, we are providing additional flexibility, including relaxing the in-office schedule and offering flexibility around the number of days and which day one is required to be in the office.  Hybrid employees can also work remotely for two weeks each year or apply for our fully-remote work program.  To ensure the safety of everyone, all U.S. employees working from a Quantcast office or who meet clients are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Outside of the U.S., we encourage all employees to get vaccinated.
