Quora is seeking an Account Specialist to analyze advertiser performance and provide account optimizations and recommendations. We recently launched our first advertising products so you would be a founding member of the advertising sales and strategy team. Your focus will be to drive both thoughtful and insightful analysis that will allow our advertisers to build effective campaigns on our platform, geared toward long term success.

As an Account Specialist, you will assist in scaling advertiser value across the Quora network. You will play a key role in enhancing the advertiser experience through valuable campaign optimization and feedback. We value direct and timely communication, creative insights, and expect you to produce impactful analyses, while knowing accounts like the back of your hand. We want you to help us provide the necessary tools for our advertisers to be successful on Quora.

An ideal candidate will have some experience in a sales or strategy environment, strong business acumen and a desire to solve complex problems with analysis and pattern matching. You will be a great fit in this role if you love digging into data, have a scrappy personality, enjoy being creative and demonstrate great attention to detail.   • Analyze advertiser performance on Quora and recommend optimizations for the Ad Strategy team
  • Troubleshoot and answer advertiser questions related to campaign delivery and optimization
  • Increase the effectiveness the Ad Strategy team by identifying and growing new opportunities in existing accounts
  • Ensure the timely and successful implementation of ad campaigns according to customer needs and objectives
  • Be a key member of regularly scheduled client calls to communicate relevant campaign performance metrics
  • Forecast and track key account data and advise adjustments in strategy to maximize ROI
  • Respond quickly to high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Highlight trends and product requests to the product development teams
  • Identify suitable advertisers for beta feature testing
  • Build trust and maintain strict confidentiality with Quora advertisers


  • 1 - 2 years of experience optimizing advertising campaigns from either client or publisher side, preferably experience running search and social campaigns
  • Exemplary verbal, written, and listening communication skills with clients at all levels of seniority
  • Ability to tactfully and respectfully challenge clients on strategic decisions
  • Comfort working with a beta product and serving as the point of contact to troubleshoot technical and account issues
  • Hands on experience optimizing bidded CPC campaigns
  • Ability to translate analytics into actionable insights and recommendations that have a material impact on performance
  • Critical thinking and investigative skills that lead to fresh ideas when it comes to challenges related to campaign performance
  • Detail orientation and flexibility to manage manual processes involved in early advertising platform development
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
