Reddit is seeking a legal operations associate to join our team and support the reddit.com platform.  As one of the founding members of the legal operations team, you will help set business processes and work with different teams across the company to enable the business to grow and scale.  If you are excited about building both a product and a legal team, then this is the place for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Process reports of intellectual property infringements with limited oversight, and develop expertise in intellectual property matters in order to inform decisions on internal tooling solutions
  • Review requests from governmental and non-governmental entities for user information and for removal of content from the Reddit site
  • Review requests relating to very sensitive issues and identify trends to create internal policy and workflows
  • Work with the Legal Team and cross-functionally with Trust and Safety, Community and Engineering teams in order to efficiently carry out responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years legal experience in a relevant setting
  • Previous Legal Operations and Intellectual Property experience
  • Familiarity with secondary liability issues and laws in the US and abroad (e.g. DMCA, CDA)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and passion for technology, law, and business
  • Eagerness to learn new things, comfortable handling chaos, and thrives in a team environment
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and a sense of humor
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently
  • Prior startup experience preferred
