Rubrik seeks hardware engineers that enjoy mastering new technologies,
that are self-starters, and that are driven to excel. As an early member of our small and growing
hardware team you will get the chance to work with a broad range of cutting edge server technologies.
You will also play a significant role in shaping the strategies that will help Rubrik continue to innovate
in the on-premises appliance space. 

What You’ll Do: 

You will be responsible for Rubrik's networked server hardware appliances and related hardware support. Works
closely with hardware industry vendors to identify, develop, test, and deploy the right technology for
Rubrik's needs. Works with manufacturing operations, customer support, and commodity management
to develop and sustain products. Provides troubleshooting and corrective action support.
Qualifies HDDs, SSDs, server components, and firmware including drivers, BMC and BIOS. Creates
and updates test scripts.

Responsibilities:

-Implement hardware development programs from inception to product shipment
-Work with server OEMs to develop, support, and sustain Rubrik appliances
-Generate and review validation plans, oversee execution, generate and review test reports
-Investigate, triage, and debug hardware and system level issues down to component and
firmware level
-Qualify HDD, SSD devices and execute their performance testing
-Qualify hardware and firmware technologies at component and platform levels
-Define, develop, and improve test scripts
-Drive technical issues to closure by working with internal and field engineers to identify, track,
root cause, and resolve issues
-Provide support to cross-functional teams internally


Qualifications:

-BS EE or CS, MS preferred, years of industry experience.
-Experience with x86 server hardware, networking and IO stacks, BMC/IPMI server monitoring.Experience with server components and technology: system boards, HDDs, SSDs, RAM, CPUs, fans, power supplies, BMC, Ethernet, PCIe, NVMe, SAS, SATA
-Experience qualifying SSDs and HDDs
-Familiar with server hardware design and system level troubleshooting
-Proficient operating in a linux environment
-Comfortable in a fast moving, small team environment
