About the role

As a Product Designer at Samsara, you will design features that our customers use every day to run their infrastructure. We’re looking for someone who is excited to shape the experience of our platform across industries such as transportation and logistics, construction, food and beverage, government and more.

In this role, you will:

Talk to customers frequently to understand their workflows
Collaborate with Research, Product, Engineering and Customer Success to identify customer needs, explore design solutions and deliver value
Produce well-crafted designs for features that make our customers operations more efficient, safe and sustainable
Articulate your perspective and provide compelling rationale for design decisions
Build strong team relationships
Push design quality higher through a focus on feedback, iteration and attention to details
Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices

An ideal candidate has:

A portfolio showcasing your approach to solving problems and your standard for design quality
Effective interaction, visual design, problem solving and communication skills
Experience designing consumer or business facing experiences for web and mobile
Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to ship successful products
The ability to prototype ideas to explore and effectively convey design solutions
A drive to continuously improve yourself, your team members, and product experiences
Around 2 years of experience designing products for desktop or mobile
