We are looking for a Fullstack Developer to join the Inventory team
Never before has the need for high-quality journalism been clearer: social media is contributing to increasing polarisation in the world, and a source of factual, ethical coverage of important issues is essential to closing the gap between what citizens know and what they need to know.
At the same time, traditional journalism is being challenged, as newspapers scramble to convert to digital publishing and find ways to monetize their content. Schibsted is confronting these challenges head on, by investing in new tools, new technology, new business models, and new ways to reach consumers.
With VG in Norway, we currently reach 52% of the digital population every day. That includes 1.4M visitors a day on mobile alone, in a country with 5M people. In Sweden, we reach 47% of the digital population every day with Aftonbladet. We intend to maintain this relevance and continue growing our user base by building great internal and external products.
Inventory’s mission is to ship the next generation advertising products within Schibsted Publishing. We implement and innovate on all advertising products on Core News Product, the shared platform for our tabloid publishers (VG, Aftonbladet) and subscription publishers (SvD, Aftenposten, FVN, SA and BT). Inventory is part of the Product and Tech division of Schibsted Media (MPT).
We are looking for a Fullstack Developer to join the team. You will collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and publisher brand teams internally, as well as to experiment on new features.
Our work day starts with a Stand Up to keep everyone abreast with progress, changes and challenges. We regularly follow up with retros, code reviews, and mob-programming sessions. To deliver high-quality products, we work with continuous integration and unit testing. We are humble, care about our craft, and help each other become better developers. Never stop learning.
As a member of Inventory, you will be part of a high speed and fun environment where openness and collaboration is key. We try to be creative and pragmatic in solutions. We test, we fail and learn. Everyday is about getting closer to the goal:: Building advertising products that our users love and our advertisers buy!
A background check is part of the process for final candidates.
Due to summer vacations, candidate selection and interviews will begin in the middle of August.
