Schibsted Marketplaces is currently being supported by Group functions on all tax related matters and will continue to be so, but as part of a reorganisation process, Schibsted Marketplaces will strengthen our finance team by hiring a Tax Manager who will work closely with our local businesses on tax matters and be the link between our local finance teams and our Group Tax team. Key Responsibilities:

The position reports to the Finance Manager of Schibsted Marketplaces (based in Barcelona) and will be part of the Schibsted Marketplaces central finance team which also includes business and financial controlling. The positions’ key responsibilities are:

As Tax Manager for Schibsted Marketplaces, you will be the owner of all tax related matters in Schibsted Marketplaces and collaborate closely with Group Tax. You will be a valued business partner for the entire business across locations, managing local and international tax matters relating to the marketplaces business unit in all countries Schibsted Marketplaces is operating in.

You will own and manage the ongoing governance, compliance and procedures within local and foreign corporate tax, withholding taxes as well as indirect taxes in close corporation with our local finance teams and our Group Tax team.

Further, you will own the responsibility for tax reporting, tax risk management, transfer pricing, tax audits, contractual issues and legal tax implications involving both local and foreign tax areas.

You will be working closely with key business stakeholders, local and Group finance teams on a daily basis and in connection with M&A and restructuring supporting the strategic direction of Schibsted Marketplaces.

We will expect you to remain up to date with developments in tax legislation and participate in relevant courses and seminars. You will also have good opportunities for professional development within the Schibsted Group.


  • Relevant Degree, e.g. Master of Law, Business Administration or Commercial Law, Accounting or Auditing.
  • To complement your educational background you have minimum 5 years of experience with audit, accounting or tax from a multinational corporation, Big 4 audit or tax/law firm where your work has included areas connected to international tax.
  • Energetic and internationally oriented professional, who will quickly understand and contribute to the underlying value drivers of our business.
  • Strong project management skills
  • As our working language is English and you must be fluent in written as well as verbal English.
