Scoop’s engineering team may move bits and pixels, but we also put real, live human beings in cars together. We’re touching problems academics have written about for years, and have data that no other company has ever collected.

But Scoop knows engineering is not a lone discipline. We’re a small team with varied backgrounds: big companies, VC-backed startups, bootcamps, academia. We like to build together, and we like to learn together. Our entire team and process are built around helping you grow and be successful. In this role, you will:

  • Work with product management and design to build new features with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS best practices
  • Collaborate on a design system for building and maintaining a robust set of well-structured, reusable components, layouts, and paradigms to span our frontend systems (new customer features, blog, marketing, etc.)

You should:

  • Have experience with JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML, and CSS
  • Have working knowledge of querying RESTful APIs and familiarity with foundational REST principles
  • Care deeply about quality and have a high attention to detail
  • Knowledgeable about modern browser technologies and their idiosyncrasies
  • Have delivered software features and/or tools that required cross team collaboration
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills being an effective listener and able to adapt your message based on the audience
