If the thought of squeezing efficiencies out of analytical processes gets your heart rate up, we've got a role for you at Scopely! As an Analyst, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the Financial Planning & Analysis team to analyze the issues affecting the company’s key growth initiatives and other strategic objectives. Primary responsibilities will include managing key inputs for Scopely’s operating model, supporting the product teams through deep financial analysis, contributing meaningfully to the annual planning and forecasting processes, preparing reports for the Leadership Team, and assisting the Accounting team with monthly, quarterly and year-end closings of the books and records.

At Scopely, we move fast and things change constantly. Some of the responsibilities of this role will be routine and well-defined while many others will be ad hoc and on the fly. As such, the successful candidate will have the ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve with minimal oversight. In this position you will be an integral member of the team and will be expected to actively engage with the Executive Team, providing deep insights and analytical expertise to help drive the business forward. We are looking for individuals that work hard and constantly strive for greatness while remaining humble and accommodating in their daily interactions. You should also be passionate about games, especially of the mobile variety.

What you will do:

  • Gather, analyze and report financial results and insights to Leadership
  • Research and analyze key business drivers, trends and performance indicators
  • Help design, implement and manage the financial forecasting, reporting and planning processes  
  • Create financial models to support proposed business development and strategic opportunities
  • Lead ad hoc analyses regarding corporate strategy

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred 
  • Start-up, investment banking or strategic consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment is a plus
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, including ability to influence senior leadership
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Ability to think creatively in the design and implementation of budgetary and planning processes 
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • You’re a gamer
